Aerosoft Lukla In AeroFlyFS2: Why It Will Be Amazing! Or Not...

Like many of you, I jumped for joy when I learned back in 2016 that the LimeSim team would be delivering Lukla, a scenery the community has been needing for years. What’s even better is the fact that will come with multiple airports. What’s even better than that? The face that it’s coming to AeroFlyFS2! Why is that good news? Well if you’ve never experienced AeroFlyFS2 in VR, you haven’t fully lived yet. VR in P3Dv4 is amazing for a platform that was never designed for native VR use but it still comes with it’s problems and limitations.

With AeroFlyFS2 however, there are no compromises on feature settings at a frame rate of damn near 300 fps. If you take Jarrad Marshall’s Innsbruck scenery for example, the photoreal terrain is crisp all the way out the horizon looking some 20 miles away. Nothing compares to AFS for simming in VR. Well maybe DCS. Okay you got me there. But DCS doesn’t have these sort of sceneries. This Lukla scenery will be badass in P3Dv4 and XPlane11 but it will be best experienced in AFS in VR. So what’s the problem? There ain’t no Twotter or DO228 which are the preferred twin engine aircraft to operate up here. So will Aerosoft get that Twotter ported over to AFS? Will Carenado? Because if not, flying up here won’t be much fun after all. Time will tell…
