Seriously, he has come quite a long way since his FSX freeware Peretola airport release from many years ago. Since joining the fold at Orbx, I have noticed a steady improvement from Italian developer Matteo Veneziani and i’m also happy he has finally put a shirt on 👍 San Diego was quite an undertaking however, arrived on the heels of mixed reviews. Updates since the initial release shows his commitment to his work and that he’s listening to his critics. Clearly, he is taking what he has been learning and has put them forward to what clearly appears to be his most detailed project thus far: Olbia on the island of Sardinia. Someone else released this airport under the Aerosoft label a couple years back is memory serves me correctly. Was it David Rosenfield? Hey I miss that guy!
Anyhoo, I have gone back and looked at David’s past effort of this airport and sorry David, you know I love you, but I like the look and atmosphere of Matteo’s work much better. Not to mention the detail of the parking lot which anyone will tell you, is the most important of any airport. The digital veggies AKA vegetation it looking really damn good too although some shots make me feel almost as if I am looking at a cartoon. A lot of vibrant colors in this scenery. Well, you know how Orbx does it, now that’s announced, the wait won’t be long. Keep up the good work Matteo, the best developers are the ones constantly improving upon their craft and I clearly see that in you. More information from this announcement via the source link below.
